Starting PE, groups, etc

Faith had her first homeschool PE class Thursday. She really enjoyed it, and Trinity had an opportunity for exercise and making friends while we waited and visited with other moms and siblings. Too bad they don't have a class for Trinity's age (the classes begin at 6 y/o), but she gets plenty of exercise (she never stops moving) and still has some opportunity to make friends at the different functions we go to. So, in two more years, I can put her in to the PE class.

I thought about switching the day that we attend PE, but the other two days conflict with my work schedule. I wanted to switch because of a Keepers at Home group that is starting with one of my Homeschool groups, and it already conflicts somewhat with my work schedule, and is quite a drive from my house. So, I just settled for the PE on Thursdays. But, when I was at the PE class, I ran in to another HS mom that I know, and mentioned my dilema to her. I'm glad I did, because it has motivated me! She told me how she and other moms in our area would be interested in the group if there was one started in our area, just no one wants to be the one to start it! Soooo, guess who might be taking on that role!? I'm a little unsure if I can do well or not, I've never started or led a group or anything before. My life is quite full and a little bit disorganized. But I believe this would be a very good group to get my girls in. I hope that maybe it will help them get better at their responsibilities, helping them to learn how to do it gladly in a way that I seem to lack the ability to teach them. Not to mention, seeing as how I'm the only one enforcing the rules and such (no fatherly authority stepping in ever), they don't always listen to me or seem to concerned about getting in trouble. So, maybe if they earn badges and things, and do it along with other kids their age doing the same thing (peer pressure, right? only in a good way this time!), maybe it will help them (therefore hopefully helping me with the load of household duties, lol). Well, I can have hopes, right? Besides, God says that love always hopes for the best, so, I am! This is good for them in many ways, not just good for me, lol.

Okay, enough about that. I'm getting info on starting the group, and am going to ask my pastor if we can use the church for meetings. I really hope I can do this, and get them up and running soon.

We are also doing 4-H again. Our next meeting is this Thursday. I'm looking forward to seeing if we have any other homeschoolers show up. I think we might get a few coming. I'm looking forward to it!
