Okay, Trinity has been asking some really big questions lately. Now, she just turned 4 two months ago, and she has always surprised me with her intelligence level. She understands, comprehends and absorbs so much! I'm beginning to think she really takes in the world around her differently than kids her age normally do. Here's some of her random questions that she has been asking the last couple of days:
Why does the rain fall?
What is an angle?
Why are the trees green?
Why did Jesus die so that we can live?
Why do bugs fly with wings? (I couldn't figure out a good answer to that one at the time, maybe because I was rushing to leave.)
I decided that I am going to have to keep a journal of her questions! She's always asking questions to things you wouldn't think a little one would think of!
Here's some other things she's done lately:
When we were driving down the road today, we pulled up alongside a Chrysler convertible with the top down. I think most kids her age, especially girls, don't notice distinctions about cars, but she did. When she saw that this car had no top, she was blown away! She gasped, and was excitedly exclaiming "wow"! She was speechless! She had not seen a car without a top! She notices everything about the world around her, and registers it, and differences and distinctions in things! She always amazes me.
When we were in the store yesterday, I was walking down an isle with school supplies and pens and things. She was staring in to space, and just started spelling: G-R-I-P. I thought about the word she spelled, grip, and thought maybe she saw it on a package somewhere. I was looking around and asking her where she saw it, she said "on TV". I was thinking, 'wow! and you remembered a whole word, and spell it NOW!' I did continue looking in the direction she was to see if she saw it somewhere, and I couldn't find it anywhere.
She also recognizes her name anytime she sees it written somewhere, without it being pointed out to her that it is her name.
Now, I don't want to act like Faith isn't doing anything. Her main interest right now is drawing. She's always drawing. I want to look in to getting her in some sort of art class this fall if I can. That would be great. If not, I need to make a more concentrated effort on finding instructional info for free online. She's always drawing pictures for people she knows. Our pastor even has at least one of her pictures hanging in his office at church!
