July already?

I'm only recently still grasping the fact that it's July, and now I'm being faced with the fact that it's now almost August, and a new school year is about to begin! I still can't believe that so much of the year has passed so far. It has been so crazy (more so than normal) that the year passed before I even realized it! And with the constant bombardment of 100+ temps we've had for over a month now, for the first time that I can ever remember in my life, I am actually ready for fall to begin! Not winter though, I loathe winter!

So, you want to know just how crazy this year has been? I'll give you a quick list!

*January~ seems like the only somewhat peaceful month I had this year
*February~ blizzard, which included car trouble; helping my sis move out of a bad situation, and more car trouble, resulting in no vehicle from the end of February to the end of April. This was especially a problem with trying to run an Avon business. Needless to say, business isn't doing so well. Just mediocre, but not enough to support us. So, not having a vehicle makes it even more difficult to find other means of income, such as a part time job. Will get to this more later..
*March~ this month was a little more calm, but that doesn't last long. Trinity got sick; Faith had a spider bite on her nose; Oklahoma was trying to burn up, so our neighborhood, along with everywhere else, was filled with smoke. One of the fires was happening on the same day of, and a mile away from, our homeschool group's International Day, which we worked hard for, but ended up not making it to.
*April~ First, it started off not too bad. Took my mom to the medieval fair for her birthday. But between the heat, and & the medicine I was taking for a horrible toothache, I got sick. A couple days later I managed to get the tooth pulled, resulting in more sickness from pain meds for a few days. In less than a weeks times, Trinity, 5 at the time, fell and dislocated her left elbow, and cracked her wrist (I previously wrote a post on that). That resulted in a crazy month, including staying in the hospital for a few days. At the end of the month, she turned 6 years old, with her arm in a cast. On the same day, we got our car back!
*May~ Trinity got her cast removed because they didn't want her to lost range of motion, but she still had to be careful & limit the use of her arm, as it was still healing. At that time, she could barely bend her elbow, and could not touch her shoulder. She has made a lot of progress, but is in physical therapy right now to achieve more range. The rest of May ended up just more busy than it was bad. But, at the end of the month, things got worse for my sister who I had helped to move in February. Her husband (who she had left) tried to kill her. The car of mine that she had been driving, broke down. Then the car of my step dads that she was driving, also broke. I let her use my car (the one I just got back), and she still has it to at this moment. My step dad is working on getting her a permanent vehicle at the moment. So, I ended up driving my step dads suburban, for a little while.
*June~Another busy month, which proceeded to turn crazy again. 1st, a family that we are friends with, the husband is in the Air Force, and got transferred to Alaska. After they moved, my friend said there were some plants on the porch and such that I could have. So, I went to get them one day, and sweep off the porch and a few other things because they are still trying to sell their house. While we are there, we notice a stray cat. He seems friendly at first, but he ends up attacking Trinity, worse than I've ever seen a cat do before. She actually has a scar from it now. She had dislocated her left elbow, and now her right arm was hurt. She was bleeding and crying. I cleaned it up really good and bandaged it, but the next day the bite on her arm was red, swollen, hot, and draining puss and blood. This was a Saturday, so I took her to a nearby urgent care clinic, thinking it would be a better idea, and quicker, than taking her to ER. I was wrong. The PA there was extremely rude, and though she did not say anything, she made it obvious that she quite apposed to my homeschooling them (as if this is in any way related to the issue at hand, let alone any of her business). She prescribed an antibiotic, and I went to get it filled at our normal pharmacy (a Walgreens by our house). To make a long story short, not a single available pharmacy carried it. So, we I put honey on her infected bite, and took her to the ER the following morning. We were blessed to have the same nurse who cared for her when she went in for her dislocated arm. Since it had been a couple of days since the attack, and we hadn't been able to catch the cat (we called animal control who set up a live trap), she had to have rabies shots. She had 2 shots that day, 1 directly into the bite (I wanted to cry so bad). We had to return 4 more times for more rabies shots, the last one being the 10th of this month (which was Faith's birthday).
Also, one day while going to check on the live trap, we were pulling out on to the street, and got in an accident, in my step dad's suburban, while he and my mom were on a trip to Ohio. I felt horrible, I've never had anything like this happen before. It only did a little damage to the front of the suburban, and we were not hurt, praise God, but we were left, again, with no vehicle. When they got back from Ohio, my step dad fixed my broken car that my sis had originally been driving, enough for me to have a vehicle. It's still in really bad shape (much worse than when she began driving it), can't drive much more than around town, and the a/c isn't working well enough to be considered working at all, especially in this 100+ weather. So, needless to say, we try to avoid driving during the day, if at all possible.
I also ended up with a migraine that lasted about a week, and I was so sick from that and the medicine I was taking for it. I felt like I was going to be out of commission for ever! Trinity also went to her GI, who said we could stop one of her meds that is for the irritation and damage done to her stomach & esophagus (if need be, we will start it again), and due to long term negative side affects, at the end of July she is to stop her medicine for her refluxing (which isn't good, because even on the medicine she is still refluxing).
*July~ We have visited our local hospital so many times, we are immediately recognized by many of the staff now when we first come in! I hope to God that we do not have to return at all this year. So, we had the 4th of July and Faith's 12th birthday. Also, Faith's dad contacted me (via text) at the beginning of June (after not speaking for years) to inform me that he had made a child support payment.
So, anyways, we had a hearing this month too on the child support issue. Fortunately they said I didn't have to stay, so I didn't even have to see him face to face (something that hasn't happened in over 3 years). I'm not too happy about the results.
Anyways, enough of that. Trinity started physical therapy for her arm this month, we got to go to the zoo a couple of times, once with my mom who hasn't been for years and gotten to see some of the new stuff, like the new baby elephant.
This weekend, I'm so excited for, since we are finally getting a much needed, long overdue, little vacation! We are going down to stay in my aunt & uncle's cabin that my grandfather (who recently passed away) helped to design and build, and we've never stayed in before. We like to take a camping trip every year for Faith's birthday, and seeing as how it's so hot, staying in a cabin would be welcome. We're hoping to maybe go tent camping next month. I am greatly looking forward to this weekend! I'm going to be off of facebook, and everything else! I'm going to disconnect from the world, and for a couple of days, even reality! I will only communicate with the outside world if it is deemed necessary. Then, beginning Monday, we will return our regular crazy program. I've also been working on planning our upcoming school year, which I will resume after returning. And, since nothing else I have attempted to do for an income is providing for us like I had hoped, I will be searching for a part-time job upon returning, along with a Christian home day care. Maybe between these two, I can continue homeschooling.

I apologize that this turned out a bit longer than I had planned. Though I tried to eliminate to many details, I seem to do a lousy job sometimes. I suppose I could go back and cut some out, but I have to get busy on some other things now. If you read this far, thank you for being patient! I will try to post more often, so my posts can be shorter. I have intended to do so, but keep forgetting. I can get so busy, and going so many different directions, I forget which way I need to be going.
(Okay, I went back & shortened it some, lol. June is still long, because it was a really bad month, sorry.)
